How to use

When to Begin Use
Begin using Silagen once the wound has fully healed and all sutures have been removed. Do not apply to open or broken skin.

How to Apply Silagen Gel Sheeting

• Gently remove the Silagen strip from its packaging. If needed, trim it so the sheet extends at least ½ inch (1 cm) beyond all edges of the scar.
• Keep the original packaging for storage when not in use. For strips stored in tubes, lay them flat with the backing side down.
• Before each application, wash and dry the scar area thoroughly. Make sure the skin is free of creams, lotions, ointments (including Silagen Gel), and fragrances, as these can interfere with adhesion.
• Peel off the release liner and place the adhesive side of the Silagen strip directly over the scar.
• If needed, secure the strip with medical tape, a compression garment, or another method to ensure it stays in place.

Cleaning & Care

To maintain adhesion and hygiene, wash the strip with mild hand soap and lukewarm water whenever it becomes dirty or less sticky. Air dry with the adhesive side up. Clean every 2–3 days, or as needed. For best results, use Silagen Clean Foaming Cleanser, specially formulated for silicone sheeting care.

Wear Time & Usage Tips

• Wear Silagen 10 to 16 hours daily for optimal results.
• Remove at least once every 12 hours to allow the skin to breathe and to clean both the scar and the strip.
